This weekend was a busy, memorable and fun time for some of the Urban Animal folks. Some of us went to World Pride in NYC, an international celebration of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall and the rights of LBGT people.
Urban Animal Veterinary Hospital values the dignity of every individual that walks through our door – whether that be on two legs, four legs or with assistance. We believe how you live and who you love are all things to be celebrated. And every individual’s right to be him, her or their-self is precious.
We show our commitment to these values in a number of ways – ranging from our wonderful diverse team to our amazing clients and their very special animal companions to the way we practice medicine and create diagnostic and treatment plans tailored to an individual animal’s needs.
Whether it comes to self identification, gender expression, whom one chooses to love or how we treat companion animals and their owners, Urban Animal believes in respecting everyone’s unique nature. In essence, that’s what World Pride is about and is what those brave folks fought for at Stonewall back in 1969.
